Country coordinators
The country coordinators are an important link between project coordinators and the local representative, the local networks and the applicants. They play a role in the entire course of a project and work closely with the project coordinator.
A country coordinator should have the following profile:
- Given the extensive range of tasks (cf. supra), a coordinator needs sufficient free time to invest in Ex-Change’s projects and activities. Voluntary work comes with a degree of responsibility and is therefore not free of obligations.
- A coordinator needs to have a network of relevant contacts for the country in question and/or be prepared to develop such a network.
- Show a high degree of independence but be able to stay within Ex-Change’s guidelines.
- Adequate proficiency in English, French, Spanish, or any other language, relevant to the country he/she is assigned to.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience and less than 70 years old.
- The country coordinator should be ready to conduct a scoping mission at least once a year.
- The coordinators only exceptionally execute ‘normal’ projects.
- Respect for cultural diversity and the specific situation of a country.
- Good social skills to forge and maintain contacts and networks.
